Things to be Cautious About When You Own a Dog

If you are someone who is really looking for a good pet to have, you should really get a dog because dogs can truly make you happy and they are really loyal pets as well. There are so many people who love dogs and who really want to keep dogs for themselves. If you do not own a dog yet, it may be time for you to get your very own dog because you know that a dog will really make you happy and cheerful in days when you are down low. You may have heard the saying that dogs are a man’s best friends and this statement could not be more true because dogs can really stick closer to their masters than to other dogs. However, if you get a dog and it is new to your place, you can expect a few things to happen in your house and we are going to look at some of these things here in this article today.

The first thing that we will have you know about new puppies at the house is that they will really want to chew everything you have in your house. The reason why these puppies chew on a lot of things is because their teeth are still growing out and this can hurt so they will really want to chew on something to lessen the pain in their teeth. If you do not give your puppy any good toys to chew at, they will chew anything from shoes to couches to chairs. If you have new furniture, you may want to keep it away for the meantime while your puppy is grown so that they will not chew on it. If your puppy is really bored, they will also want to chew on things because this can really relieve their boredom as well; giving them toys will also help with this problem so you really have to get some toys for your new puppy.

When it comes to having a new puppy in your house, another thing that you should be aware of is that they are going to poop and pee a lot. Puppies trained at a young age, will really remember that they are not allowed to poop or pee in the house and when they do want to go, they will make you know it so that you can take them out of the house and they can do their business there. You may have old dogs that you have had for years already and they probably still do not know about not pooping or peeing in the house yet because you have never trained them well. Puppies can not really hold their poop so well yet, so they will be pooping everywhere for the first weeks. You should assign a place for them to poop in your house or you can take them out for walks every few hours.
